Indian traditional medicinal plants for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus (DM): Review

Abstract
Diabetes is a metabolic problem recognized by a hyperglycemic condition
from improper secretion and action of insulin. Traditionally, several medicinal
plants have been used in India for the prevention and treatment of diabetes.
Medicinal plants are a significant source for antidiabetic therapy. This review
is based on the compilation and evaluation of the present information related
to medicinal plants, their parts, and their bioactive compounds with
antidiabetic properties, emphasizing their significance for further research
and drug development.
