Taxonomic study on mammalian resources of Bagdara sanctuary, Sidhi (M.P.)

Abstract
Bagdara sanctuary is famous for the beautiful animal roaming in the forests of this part of Central India - 'the black bucks' - popularly known as Krishna Mriga. Its frequency of occurrence is very good. It is one of the most spectacular and numerous of wild animals living in close proximity to human settlement. It can be seen in the fields in all the season in the sanctuary. There are variety of vertebrates mammals, small fishes, amphibians, reptiles and birds, which are still to be identified. The Bagdara sanctuary along with great variety of flora and its remarkable altitudinal and topographic variations provide an ideal habitat for the animal of wild life.
